Period Summary

Programmatically generated summary. Hog Says

735 wave-buoy observations covered all 31 days. Typical wave height was 7.5 ft (10th–90th percentile 4.3–13.1 ft), while mean reported wave period; measurement type unavailable was 6.2 seconds (10th–90th percentile 5–8 seconds). Typical wind was 17.2 mph (10th–90th percentile 6.9–33.3 mph). 46 of 2,940 checked values (1.6%) were excluded by quality control. Across 4 comparable years, mean wave height was the same as the same-month mean of 8.3 ft and mean wave period was below the same-month mean of 6.4 seconds.

About Beryl A AWS wave buoy

Beryl A AWS (WMO 63110) is an automatic weather station on a privately operated oil platform in the northern North Sea. It is not a free-floating wave buoy. The station provides offshore meteorological observations for operations and forecasting, with available parameters determined by the platform's installed sensors.
