Period Summary

Programmatically generated summary. Hog Says

742 wave-buoy observations covered all 31 days. Typical wave height was 8.2 ft (10th–90th percentile 4.6–13.8 ft), while mean reported wave period; measurement type unavailable was 6.4 seconds (10th–90th percentile 5–8 seconds). Typical wind was 19.7 mph (10th–90th percentile 10.3–36.9 mph). 98 of 2,968 checked values (3.3%) were excluded by quality control. Across 8 comparable years, mean wave height was the same as the same-month mean of 8.6 ft and mean wave period was below the same-month mean of 6.5 seconds.

About Beryl A AWS wave buoy

Beryl A AWS (WMO 63110) is an automatic weather station on a privately operated oil platform in the northern North Sea. It is not a free-floating wave buoy. The station provides offshore meteorological observations for operations and forecasting, with available parameters determined by the platform's installed sensors.
