Period Summary

Programmatically generated summary. Hog Says

719 wave-buoy observations covered all 30 days. Typical wave height was 4.6 ft (10th–90th percentile 3.3–7.2 ft), while mean reported wave period; measurement type unavailable was 5.1 seconds (10th–90th percentile 4–6 seconds). Typical wind was 17.2 mph (10th–90th percentile 6.9–25.3 mph). 36 of 2,876 checked values (1.3%) were excluded by quality control. Across 8 comparable years, mean wave height was above the same-month mean of 4.8 ft and mean wave period was the same as the same-month mean of 5.1 seconds.

About Beryl A AWS wave buoy

Beryl A AWS (WMO 63110) is an automatic weather station on a privately operated oil platform in the northern North Sea. It is not a free-floating wave buoy. The station provides offshore meteorological observations for operations and forecasting, with available parameters determined by the platform's installed sensors.
