About Las Palmas Este wave buoy
Las Palmas Este is a Puertos del Estado REDCOS coastal buoy in about 30 metres of water east of Gran Canaria, near the approaches to the Port of Las Palmas. It records the local sea state on the island's more sheltered eastern side and complements the Gran Canaria deep-water buoy to the west.
Its current data source reports wave height, wave period and wave direction.
Provider-reported wave power.Approximate wave power calculated from significant wave height and energy period.Approximate mean including provider-reported and calculated wave power.
