Period Summary
Programmatically generated summary. Hog Says
1,415 wave-buoy observations covered 30 of 31 days (97%). Typical wave height was 6.4 ft (10th–90th percentile 3.1–12.6 ft), while mean peak wave period was 12.7 seconds (10th–90th percentile 11–14.9 seconds). Typical calculated wave power was approximately 18.9 kW/m (10th–90th percentile 4.3–90.5 kW/m), derived from significant wave height and energy period. 9 of 4,245 checked values (0.2%) were excluded by quality control. Across 10 comparable years, mean wave height was below the same-month mean of 7.7 ft and mean wave period was above the same-month mean of 12.1 seconds.

About Anglet wave buoy
Anglet is a CANDHIS directional buoy on the French Basque coast, operated within the national sea-state observatory coordinated by Cerema. It records the highly exposed southern Bay of Biscay setting off Anglet's beaches, close to the Adour estuary and the approaches to Bayonne.
Its current data source reports wave height, wave period, wave direction, directional spread and sea temperature.
