Anglet wave buoy daily means for Jul 2026
Daily means from the Anglet wave buoy for Jul 2026, including available wave height, period, direction, wind and sea temperature data.
Period Summary
Programmatically generated summary. Hog Says1,488 wave-buoy observations covered all 31 days. Typical wave height was 2.3 ft (10th–90th percentile 1.6–4.6 ft), while mean average of more than one wave period type was 6.1 seconds (10th–90th percentile 4.5–8.2 seconds). Typical calculated wave power was approximately 9.6 kW/m, derived from significant wave height and energy period. Mean water temperature was 24.5°C (10th–90th percentile 23.6–25.3°C). All 5,928 checked values passed quality control. Across 13 comparable years, mean wave height was below the same-month mean of 3.6 ft and mean wave period was below the same-month mean of 8.5 seconds.

About Anglet wave buoy
Anglet is a CANDHIS directional buoy on the French Basque coast, operated within the national sea-state observatory coordinated by Cerema. It records the highly exposed southern Bay of Biscay setting off Anglet's beaches, close to the Adour estuary and the approaches to Bayonne.
Its current data source reports wave height, wave period, wave direction, directional spread and sea temperature.
