Period Summary
Programmatically generated summary. Hog Says
1,173 wave-buoy observations covered 25 of 31 days (81%). Typical wave height was 4.4 ft (10th–90th percentile 1.8–7 ft), while mean peak wave period was 11.5 seconds (10th–90th percentile 7.9–13.9 seconds). Typical calculated wave power was approximately 9.1 kW/m (10th–90th percentile 1.1–22.3 kW/m), derived from significant wave height and energy period. 8 of 3,519 checked values (0.2%) were excluded by quality control.

About Cap Ferret wave buoy
Cap Ferret is a long-running CANDHIS directional buoy off the Aquitaine coast, operated within France's national in-situ sea-state observatory. It provides an offshore reference for the energetic Bay of Biscay swell approaching the Arcachon inlet and the long, sandy and erosion-prone Landes coastline.
Its current data source reports wave height and wave period.
Provider-reported wave power.Approximate wave power calculated from significant wave height and energy period.Approximate mean including provider-reported and calculated wave power.
