Period Summary
Programmatically generated summary. Hog Says
19 wave-buoy observations covered 1 of 31 days (3%). Typical wave height was 1.4 ft (10th–90th percentile 1–1.5 ft), while mean peak wave period was 5.2 seconds (10th–90th percentile 4.1–6.7 seconds). Mean water temperature was 19.2°C (10th–90th percentile 19.1–19.4°C). All 76 checked values passed quality control. Across 4 comparable years, mean wave height was below the same-month mean of 1.6 ft and mean wave period was below the same-month mean of 5.5 seconds.

About Happisburgh wave buoy
Happisburgh is a Channel Coastal Observatory wave station off the northeast Norfolk coast. It supplies a nearshore North Sea record for one of England's most rapidly changing soft-cliff frontages, where communities, beaches and coastal defences are exposed to frequent erosion.
Its current data source reports wave height, wave period, wave direction, directional spread and sea temperature.
Provider-reported wave power.Approximate wave power calculated from significant wave height and energy period.Approximate mean including provider-reported and calculated wave power.
