Programmatically generated summary. Hog Says
417 wave-buoy observations covered 9 of 31 days (29%). Typical wave height was 3.7 ft (10th–90th percentile 2.6–5.9 ft), while mean peak wave period was 6.3 seconds (10th–90th percentile 5.2–7.4 seconds). Mean water temperature was 10.3°C (10th–90th percentile 10.2–10.4°C). All 1,664 checked values passed quality control. Across 5 comparable years, mean wave height was above the same-month mean of 2.1 ft and mean wave period was above the same-month mean of 6.1 seconds.

About Happisburgh wave buoy
Happisburgh is a Channel Coastal Observatory wave station off the northeast Norfolk coast. It supplies a nearshore North Sea record for one of England's most rapidly changing soft-cliff frontages, where communities, beaches and coastal defences are exposed to frequent erosion.
Its current data source reports wave height, wave period, wave direction, directional spread and sea temperature.
Provider-reported wave power.Approximate wave power calculated from significant wave height and energy period.Approximate mean including provider-reported and calculated wave power.
