About Mahón wave buoy
Mahón is a Puertos del Estado REDEXT deep-water buoy moored in about 300 metres of water southeast of Menorca. It provides an open Mediterranean reference for waves reaching the eastern Balearic Islands and the approaches to Menorca and the port of Mahón.
Its current data source reports wave height, wave period and wave direction.
Provider-reported wave power.Approximate wave power calculated from significant wave height and energy period.Approximate mean including provider-reported and calculated wave power.
