About Tarragona wave buoy

Tarragona is a Puertos del Estado REDEXT deep-water buoy moored in about 688 metres of water off southern Catalonia. The station provides an offshore reference for the northwestern Mediterranean around Tarragona and the Ebro delta before waves reach the shallow coastal zone.

Its current data source reports wave height, wave period and wave direction.
