Each source keeps its own location and role so the view provides coastal context without presenting nearby buoy readings as measurements at the surf break.
There were small waves at Porthleven, but they were messy rather than clean: the aligned WSW swell was only around 5.3 seconds, while mostly westerly 11 mph cross-onshore winds degraded it. Observations confirmed a rising but weak, short-period sea; the NW Brittany swell was largely sheltered.
