How the beach surfs

This open beach break receives plenty of Atlantic swell. The banks and peaks move, so the useful take-off spots can be quite different from one visit to the next. It is a practical place to watch conditions before committing because the beach and approaches are easy to inspect.

Access and orientation

The large beach car park and promenade make Crooklets one of the simpler Cornish surf stops. At higher water the usable beach narrows, and the rocky margins deserve room.
