Period Summary

Programmatically generated summary. Hog Says

742 wave-buoy observations covered all 31 days. Typical wave height was 3.3 ft (10th–90th percentile 1.6–5.9 ft), while mean reported wave period; measurement type unavailable was 4.6 seconds (10th–90th percentile 4–5 seconds). Typical wind was 12.8 mph (10th–90th percentile 5.8–20.8 mph) and mean water temperature was 14°C (10th–90th percentile 13.4–14.7°C). 536 of 2,648 checked values (20.2%) were excluded by quality control. Across 2 comparable years, mean wave height was below the same-month mean of 4.5 ft and mean wave period was above the same-month mean of 4.5 seconds.

About Anasuria AWS wave buoy

Anasuria AWS (WMO 62164) is an automatic weather station on privately operated offshore infrastructure in the central North Sea. It is not a free-floating wave buoy. The station contributes meteorological and, when fitted, sea-state observations from an area with extensive offshore energy activity.

Metrics are rows; days run left to right.
