About Boscombe wave buoy

Boscombe is a National Network Datawell Directional WaveRider in about 10 metres of water off Bournemouth. First deployed in July 2003, it provides one of the network's longest nearshore records and a reference for the heavily managed beaches of Poole Bay on England's central south coast.

Its current data source reports wave height, wave period, wave direction, directional spread and sea temperature.
