Period Summary
Programmatically generated summary. Hog Says
8,636 wave-buoy observations covered 362 of 366 days (99%). Typical wave height was 1.6 ft (10th–90th percentile 0.7–4.6 ft), while the reported wave period averaged 6 seconds (10th–90th percentile 5–7 seconds). Typical wind was 18.4 mph (10th–90th percentile 6.9–32.2 mph) and mean water temperature was 13.5°C (10th–90th percentile 9.2–18.5°C). 34 of 43,162 checked values (0.1%) were excluded by quality control.

About F3 wave buoy
F3 Light Vessel (WMO 62170) is a UK Met Office station in the southern North Sea, east of the Dover Strait. It provides an offshore reference for forecasts and shipping in the shallow waters between southeast England, Belgium and the Netherlands, beyond the immediate shelter or distortion of the coast.
Its current data source reports wave height, wave period, wave direction, directional spread, wind conditions, sea temperature, separate swell and wind-sea components and wave spectra.
Provider-reported wave power.Approximate wave power calculated from significant wave height and energy period.Approximate mean including provider-reported and calculated wave power.
