Period Summary
Programmatically generated summary. Hog Says
734 wave-buoy observations covered all 31 days. Historical wave-period comparison is unavailable because matching period types have not been established. Typical wave height was 6.9 ft (10th–90th percentile 4.3–10.8 ft), while the reported wave period averaged 6.1 seconds (10th–90th percentile 5–7 seconds). Typical wind was 0 mph and mean water temperature was 13.3°C (10th–90th percentile 12.6–13.8°C). 18 of 3,669 checked values (0.5%) were excluded by quality control. Across 8 comparable years, mean wave height was above the same-month mean of 6.7 ft.

About K4 wave buoy
K4 (WMO 62105) is a UK Met Office ocean buoy in the North Atlantic northwest of Ireland. Its remote position samples systems travelling towards northern Irish and UK waters, providing valuable ground truth in an ocean area otherwise observed mainly by ships, satellites and numerical models.
Its current data source reports wave height, wave period, wave direction, directional spread, wind conditions and sea temperature.
