About K5 wave buoy

K5 (WMO 64045) is a UK Met Office ocean buoy in the far North Atlantic west of Scotland. It provides direct observations from a sparsely monitored ocean area upstream of the Hebrides and northern UK waters, helping to verify forecasts as Atlantic weather systems move eastward.

Its current data source reports wave height, wave period, wave direction, directional spread, wind conditions and sea temperature.
