Period Summary

Programmatically generated summary. Hog Says

719 wave-buoy observations covered all 30 days. Historical wave-period comparison is unavailable because matching period types have not been established. Wave-height and wave-period data were unavailable. Typical wind was 15 mph (10th–90th percentile 6.9–24.2 mph) and mean water temperature was 11.8°C (10th–90th percentile 11.4–12.2°C). All 2,157 checked values passed quality control.

About K7 wave buoy

K7 (WMO 64046) is a UK Met Office ocean buoy west of Shetland in the North Atlantic. Its exposed position monitors systems approaching the Northern Isles and provides rare in-situ context for forecasts across the deep waters between Scotland, Iceland and the Norwegian Sea.

Its current data source reports wave height, wave period, wave direction, directional spread, wind conditions and sea temperature.
