Period Summary
Programmatically generated summary. Hog Says
741 wave-buoy observations covered all 31 days. Historical wave-period comparison is unavailable because matching period types have not been established. Typical wave height was 10.8 ft (10th–90th percentile 6.9–15.7 ft), while mean zero-crossing wave period was 7.3 seconds (10th–90th percentile 6–8 seconds). Typical wind was 18.3 mph (10th–90th percentile 9.2–27.5 mph) and mean water temperature was 15.1°C (10th–90th percentile 14.9–15.3°C). 1 of 3,698 checked values (0%) were excluded by quality control. Across 1 comparable year, mean wave height was below the same-month mean of 11.6 ft.

About M6 wave buoy
M6 (WMO 62095) is the deep-Atlantic station in the Irish Marine Data Buoy Observation Network, managed by the Marine Institute with Met Éireann. Far west of Ireland, it is recognised by EUMETNET as a sentinel synoptic weather buoy and provides rare direct context from a remote ocean area upstream of Europe.
Its current data source reports wave height, wave period, wave direction, directional spread, wind conditions and sea temperature.
Provider-reported wave power.Approximate wave power calculated from significant wave height and energy period.Approximate mean including provider-reported and calculated wave power.
