Period Summary
Programmatically generated summary. Hog Says
717 wave-buoy observations covered all 30 days. Historical wave-period comparison is unavailable because matching period types have not been established. Typical wave height was 8.2 ft (10th–90th percentile 3.3–15.4 ft), while mean zero-crossing wave period was 6.9 seconds (10th–90th percentile 5–9 seconds). Typical wind was 15 mph (10th–90th percentile 8.1–27.5 mph) and mean water temperature was 16.3°C (10th–90th percentile 15.3–17.1°C). All 3,584 checked values passed quality control. Across 1 comparable year, mean wave height was below the same-month mean of 10.2 ft.

About M6 wave buoy
M6 (WMO 62095) is the deep-Atlantic station in the Irish Marine Data Buoy Observation Network, managed by the Marine Institute with Met Éireann. Far west of Ireland, it is recognised by EUMETNET as a sentinel synoptic weather buoy and provides rare direct context from a remote ocean area upstream of Europe.
Its current data source reports wave height, wave period, wave direction, directional spread, wind conditions and sea temperature.
Provider-reported wave power.Approximate wave power calculated from significant wave height and energy period.Approximate mean including provider-reported and calculated wave power.
