Period Summary
Programmatically generated summary. Hog Says
740 wave-buoy observations covered all 31 days. Historical wave-period comparison is unavailable because matching period types have not been established. Typical wave height was 8.2 ft (10th–90th percentile 5.6–13.5 ft), while mean zero-crossing wave period was 7.1 seconds (10th–90th percentile 6–8 seconds). Typical wind was 17.2 mph (10th–90th percentile 8.1–26.4 mph) and mean water temperature was 14.5°C (10th–90th percentile 14.3–14.6°C). All 3,672 checked values passed quality control. Across 3 comparable years, mean wave height was below the same-month mean of 11.3 ft.

About M6 wave buoy
M6 (WMO 62095) is the deep-Atlantic station in the Irish Marine Data Buoy Observation Network, managed by the Marine Institute with Met Éireann. Far west of Ireland, it is recognised by EUMETNET as a sentinel synoptic weather buoy and provides rare direct context from a remote ocean area upstream of Europe.
Its current data source reports wave height, wave period, wave direction, directional spread, wind conditions and sea temperature.
Provider-reported wave power.Approximate wave power calculated from significant wave height and energy period.Approximate mean including provider-reported and calculated wave power.
