Period Summary
Programmatically generated summary. Hog Says
720 wave-buoy observations covered all 30 days. Historical wave-period comparison is unavailable because matching period types have not been established. Typical wave height was 14.4 ft (10th–90th percentile 9.5–26.2 ft), while mean zero-crossing wave period was 8.2 seconds (10th–90th percentile 7–10 seconds). Typical wind was 24.2 mph (10th–90th percentile 12.8–39.1 mph) and mean water temperature was 13°C (10th–90th percentile 12.3–13.6°C). 3 of 3,582 checked values (0.1%) were excluded by quality control. Across 3 comparable years, mean wave height was above the same-month mean of 13 ft.

About M6 wave buoy
M6 (WMO 62095) is the deep-Atlantic station in the Irish Marine Data Buoy Observation Network, managed by the Marine Institute with Met Éireann. Far west of Ireland, it is recognised by EUMETNET as a sentinel synoptic weather buoy and provides rare direct context from a remote ocean area upstream of Europe.
Its current data source reports wave height, wave period, wave direction, directional spread, wind conditions and sea temperature.
