Period Summary
Programmatically generated summary. Hog Says
691 wave-buoy observations covered all 31 days. Historical wave-period comparison is unavailable because matching period types have not been established. Typical wave height was 7.2 ft (10th–90th percentile 3.9–14.1 ft), while mean zero-crossing wave period was 6.4 seconds (10th–90th percentile 5–8 seconds). Mean water temperature was 14.8°C (10th–90th percentile 14.1–15.4°C). 2 of 2,715 checked values (0.1%) were excluded by quality control. Across 3 comparable years, mean wave height was above the same-month mean of 6.6 ft.

About M6 wave buoy
M6 (WMO 62095) is the deep-Atlantic station in the Irish Marine Data Buoy Observation Network, managed by the Marine Institute with Met Éireann. Far west of Ireland, it is recognised by EUMETNET as a sentinel synoptic weather buoy and provides rare direct context from a remote ocean area upstream of Europe.
Its current data source reports wave height, wave period, wave direction, directional spread, wind conditions and sea temperature.
Provider-reported wave power.Approximate wave power calculated from significant wave height and energy period.Approximate mean including provider-reported and calculated wave power.
