About PAP wave buoy

PAP (WMO 62442) is the surface mooring at the Porcupine Abyssal Plain Sustained Observatory, a National Oceanography Centre site in the Northeast Atlantic about 800 kilometres from Land's End. The observatory lies over 4,850 metres of water and has built a multidisciplinary deep-ocean time series since 1985, with a year-round Met Office collaboration at the surface.

Its current data source reports wave height, wave period, wave direction, directional spread, wind conditions and sea temperature.
