About Whitby wave buoy

Whitby is a Datawell Directional WaveRider station off the North Yorkshire coast. The current National Network station was deployed in 2013 and records North Sea waves approaching Whitby and the surrounding cliffs and beaches. Available observations include wave height, period and direction, sea temperature and calculated wave power.
