Period Summary
Programmatically generated summary. Hog Says
743 wave-buoy observations covered all 31 days. Historical wave-period comparison is unavailable because matching period types have not been established. Typical wave height was 0 ft; wave-period data were unavailable. Typical wind was 17.2 mph (10th–90th percentile 8.1–26.4 mph) and mean water temperature was 10.5°C (10th–90th percentile 10.3–10.6°C). 1,237 of 3,715 checked values (33.3%) were excluded by quality control. Across 12 comparable years, mean wave height was below the same-month mean of 4.9 ft.

About Ch. Lightship wave buoy
Channel Lightship (WMO 62103) is a UK Met Office station in the central English Channel. Its offshore position represents conditions away from the immediate influence of either coast and helps forecasters and mariners follow weather and sea-state changes along one of the world's busiest shipping corridors.
Its current data source reports wave height, wave period, wave direction, directional spread, wind conditions and sea temperature.
