About E1 wave buoy

E1 (WMO 62050) is a Plymouth Marine Laboratory and UK Met Office monitoring buoy at the Western Channel Observatory's open-shelf station, about 20 nautical miles south of Plymouth. Deployed as a shared platform in 2013, it combines atmospheric and oceanographic sensors to report wind, pressure, sea temperature, and wave height, period and direction from the western English Channel.
