Period Summary

Programmatically generated summary. Hog Says

744 wave-buoy observations covered all 31 days. Wave period types differ within this period. Use the separate period rows in the observation table; a combined period summary and historical comparison are withheld. Typical wave height was 1.3 ft (10th–90th percentile 0.7–3 ft). Typical wind was 15 mph (10th–90th percentile 6–25.9 mph) and mean water temperature was 20.6°C (10th–90th percentile 20.3–20.9°C). All 3,720 checked values passed quality control. Across 3 comparable years, mean wave height was above the same-month mean of 1.6 ft.

About F3 wave buoy

F3 Light Vessel (WMO 62170) is a UK Met Office station in the southern North Sea, east of the Dover Strait. It provides an offshore reference for forecasts and shipping in the shallow waters between southeast England, Belgium and the Netherlands, beyond the immediate shelter or distortion of the coast.

Its current data source reports wave height, wave period, wind conditions and sea temperature.
