Period Summary
Programmatically generated summary. Hog Says
672 wave-buoy observations covered 29 of 30 days (97%). Historical wave-period comparison is unavailable because matching period types have not been established. Typical wave height was 4.9 ft (10th–90th percentile 3–8.9 ft), while the reported wave period averaged 5.6 seconds (10th–90th percentile 4–7 seconds). Typical wind was 12.8 mph (10th–90th percentile 5.8–21.9 mph) and mean water temperature was 14.7°C (10th–90th percentile 12.9–16.4°C). All 3,360 checked values passed quality control. Across 4 comparable years, mean wave height was below the same-month mean of 7.3 ft.

About K2 wave buoy
K2 (WMO 62081) is a UK Met Office ocean buoy in the North Atlantic west of Ireland. It samples a remote, sparsely observed part of the Atlantic and gives forecasters an upstream view of developing systems before they cross the continental shelf towards Ireland and the UK.
Its current data source reports wave height, wave period, wave direction, directional spread, wind conditions and sea temperature.
