About Port Isaac wave buoy

Port Isaac is a National Network step-gauge station off north Cornwall, first deployed in July 2010. Unlike the free-floating Directional WaveRider buoys used elsewhere in the network, it observes the local sea surface from a fixed installation and builds a record for this steep, exposed stretch of coastline.

Its current data source reports wave height and wave period.
