Period Summary
Programmatically generated summary. Hog Says
744 wave-buoy observations covered all 31 days. Wave period types differ within this period. Use the separate period rows in the observation table; a combined period summary and historical comparison are withheld. Typical wave height was 1.6 ft (10th–90th percentile 1–3.3 ft). Typical wind was 15.7 mph (10th–90th percentile 5.6–26.6 mph) and mean water temperature was 20.5°C (10th–90th percentile 20.2–20.9°C). 15 of 3,720 checked values (0.4%) were excluded by quality control. Across 16 comparable years, mean wave height was above the same-month mean of 1.4 ft.

About Sandettie wave buoy
Sandettie Lightship (WMO 62304) is a UK Met Office station in the Dover Strait near the Sandettie Bank. Its position provides an offshore reference in a narrow, shallow and strongly tidal channel, valuable to forecasting and navigation through one of the world's busiest shipping passages.
Its current data source reports wave height, wave period, wind conditions and sea temperature.
