About West Bay wave buoy

West Bay is a Datawell Directional WaveRider station off the Dorset coast near Bridport. First deployed in November 2006, it measures waves approaching the exposed section of Lyme Bay around West Bay. Available observations include wave height, period and direction, sea temperature and calculated wave power.
