Period Summary
Programmatically generated summary. Hog Says
727 wave-buoy observations covered all 31 days. Historical wave-period comparison is unavailable because matching period types have not been established. Typical wave height was 5.6 ft (10th–90th percentile 3.3–11.5 ft), while the reported wave period averaged 8.7 seconds (10th–90th percentile 7–11 seconds). Typical wind was 21.9 mph (10th–90th percentile 10.3–35.8 mph) and mean water temperature was 10.8°C (10th–90th percentile 10.2–11.4°C). All 3,635 checked values passed quality control. Across 2 comparable years, mean wave height was above the same-month mean of 5.1 ft.

About Ch. Lightship wave buoy
Channel Lightship (WMO 62103) is a UK Met Office station in the central English Channel. Its offshore position represents conditions away from the immediate influence of either coast and helps forecasters and mariners follow weather and sea-state changes along one of the world's busiest shipping corridors.
Its current data source reports wave height, wave period, wave direction, directional spread, wind conditions and sea temperature.
