Period Summary
Programmatically generated summary. Hog Says
8 wave-buoy observations covered 6 of 31 days (19%). Historical wave-period comparison is unavailable because matching period types have not been established. Typical wave height was 5.1 ft (10th–90th percentile 2.5–6.3 ft), while the reported wave period averaged 6.4 seconds (10th–90th percentile 5.4–7 seconds). Typical wind was 0 mph (10th–90th percentile 0–15.4 mph) and mean water temperature was 9.4°C (10th–90th percentile 9.1–9.6°C). 1 of 40 checked values (2.5%) were excluded by quality control. Across 9 comparable years, mean wave height was above the same-month mean of 3 ft.

About Greenwich wave buoy
Greenwich Lightship (WMO 62305) is a UK Met Office station in the southern North Sea, close to the Greenwich meridian. It provides an offshore reference between the Dover Strait and Thames approaches, supporting forecasting and navigation in shallow, busy waters influenced by North Sea weather and strong tides.
Its current data source reports wind conditions and sea temperature.
