Period Summary
Programmatically generated summary. Hog Says
527 wave-buoy observations covered 25 of 31 days (81%). Historical wave-period comparison is unavailable because matching period types have not been established. Typical wave height was 10.5 ft (10th–90th percentile 6.9–22.6 ft), while the reported wave period averaged 7.8 seconds (10th–90th percentile 6–10 seconds). Typical wind was 19.7 mph (10th–90th percentile 10.3–31.1 mph). 27 of 2,108 checked values (1.3%) were excluded by quality control. Across 2 comparable years, mean wave height was above the same-month mean of 11.9 ft.

About K2 wave buoy
K2 (WMO 62081) is a UK Met Office ocean buoy in the North Atlantic west of Ireland. It samples a remote, sparsely observed part of the Atlantic and gives forecasters an upstream view of developing systems before they cross the continental shelf towards Ireland and the UK.
Its current data source reports wave height, wave period, wave direction, directional spread, wind conditions and sea temperature.
Provider-reported wave power.Approximate wave power calculated from significant wave height and energy period.Approximate mean including provider-reported and calculated wave power.
