About Port Isaac wave buoy
Port Isaac is a National Network step-gauge station off north Cornwall, first deployed in July 2010. Unlike the directional WaveRider buoys elsewhere in the network, this installation measures the local sea surface using a fixed gauge. Its record helps describe wave and water-level conditions on the exposed coast around Port Isaac.
