About Bideford Bay wave buoy

Bideford Bay is a Datawell Directional WaveRider station in about 11 metres of water off north Devon. Deployed in June 2009, it records Atlantic waves entering the broad bay between Hartland Point and Morte Point. The station reports wave height, period and direction, sea temperature and calculated wave power, with its shore receiver hosted by RNLI Appledore.
