K2 (WMO 62081) is a UK Met Office offshore data buoy west of Ireland in the North Atlantic (51.0000°N, 13.3000°W). It is placed to sample Atlantic storm systems and swell upstream of the UK/Ireland, improving lead time for marine forecasts.
