Period Summary

Programmatically generated summary. Hog Says

24 wave-buoy observations were recorded during the day. Typical wave height was 5.9 ft (10th–90th percentile 5.6–6.6 ft), while mean zero-crossing wave period was 7.2 seconds (10th–90th percentile 7–8 seconds). Typical wind was 10.4 mph (10th–90th percentile 6.9–12.7 mph) and mean water temperature was 14.8°C (10th–90th percentile 14.8–14.9°C). All 120 checked values passed quality control.

About M3 wave buoy

M3 (WMO 62092) is part of the Irish Marine Data Buoy Observation Network, managed by the Marine Institute in collaboration with Met Éireann. Its exposed Atlantic position off southwest Ireland, west of Cork, provides an upstream reference for ocean systems approaching the south and west coasts.

Its current data source reports wave height, wave period, wave direction, directional spread, wind conditions and sea temperature.
