Period Summary

Programmatically generated summary. Hog Says

745 wave-buoy observations covered all 31 days. Typical wave height was 10.8 ft (10th–90th percentile 6.7–15.7 ft), while mean reported wave period; measurement type unavailable was 7.1 seconds (10th–90th percentile 6–9 seconds). Typical wind was 19.6 mph (10th–90th percentile 9.2–28.8 mph) and mean water temperature was 13.8°C (10th–90th percentile 13.3–14.5°C). 151 of 3,136 checked values (4.8%) were excluded by quality control. Across 2 comparable years, mean wave height was the same as the same-month mean of 11 ft and mean wave period was below the same-month mean of 7.3 seconds.

About K2 wave buoy

K2 (WMO 62081) is a UK Met Office buoy in the North Atlantic west of Ireland. It provides an upstream view of ocean weather and sea conditions before systems reach Ireland and the UK. The international station feed can include wind, pressure, air and sea temperature, and wave observations when the relevant sensors are reporting.

Metrics are rows; days run left to right.
